Transformed: Saree

Bring mom’s old sarees back to life

Mom or grandma’s old stained and/ or torn saree. We all have them.

We can’t use them but we can’t let go either. They hold memories that are too precious to lose.

But what’s the point keeping them hidden in the back of an almirah or trunk and letting them disintegrate further. Give them another lease of life with Ikyaad’s signature saree preservation services.

Create artworks that mean something and keep her memories alive for a lifetime. Use for self or gift to family and friends who care about you and her and would like to hold on to her memory along with you. Housewarming, wedding, child birth and more… There’s always and opportunity to gift these beautiful artworks to your dear ones. See product gallery for ideas.

Saree fabrics are an amazing base for creating artworks and even when damaged, there are always parts that can be used and transformed to preserve old memories and create new ones. These artworks are usually created by supporting the saree fabric with a base like buckram, mdf wood, foam sheet or a wood tray base. Acrylic paintings, decoupage with resin coating and a lot more can take form and each fabric takes a unique form of it’s own basis the fabric, the person it belongs/ belonged to and the people who are going to continue to live with it.
